The Broomfield 1000 winder is a powerful two-speed machine designed for large, heavy coils, delivering very high winding torque. It features a low-speed setting for very high-speed torque in demanding applications and a higher speed for efficient, high-torque winding needs. Customizable with various speed and torque options, it can be tailored to meet your specific application needs.

Three models are available:

1000A: Winding headstock.

1000B: Winding headstock with tailstock mounted on precision ways.

1000C: Winding headstock, tailstock on precision ways and automatic wire guide traversing mechanism.

• Two speed ranges with variable speed in each.
• Heavy-duty welded steel construction.
• Air actuated disc brake for positive stopping.
• Electronic wire guide traverse: Two precision layering styles are provided; Parallel and Spiral (1000C).
• Setup time is minimized by the use of electronic controls for precisely setting wire pitch and stopping at the desired turns count (1000C). The operator only needs to enter this data and set the winding width stops.
• Reverse bend system eliminates the need for pounding wire or pressing coils into shape, produces tighter coils and uses less wire (1000C).
• Easily adaptable for winding single or multiple coils.

Faceplate:22" (558.8 mm) diameter.

Primary Reduction: Belt and pulley to gear reducer.

Secondary Reduction: Two speed gearbox; ratio between gear ranges is 7:1.

Air 80 PSI (5.5 Bars) at minimal CFM.

Spindle Speeds: Per application.

Spindle Rotation: Either direction can be selected by a switch on the control panel.

Spindle Center Height: 49.5" (1257.3 mm) from the floor.

Maximum Torque: 17,000 ft. - lbs. (23,052 Nm).

Brake: Air actuated disc brake on the spindle motor and air/oil hydraulic disc brake on the faceplate operated by removing foot from variable speed control, by total turns counter or by emergency stop button.

Tailstock: Mounted on precision ways to allow positioning anywhere along winding axis. 4" (101.6 mm) quill travel. Heavy duty frame and quill. 60° live center with No. 5 or No. 6 morse taper.

Machine Control:
A and B Models: Programmable electronic counter.
C Models: S-50 winding controller with 50 programmable stops, 7 program capacity, parallel and spiral layering and end stops to define winding width.
