Broomfield engineered the first production coil winding system for the EMALS (Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System) in 2001—an ultra-high-power linear motor winding solution featuring precision servo conductor guiding and pole positioning. This custom system remains in active production since 2017.
We also developed specialized winding machines for lattice-style deployment coils, where wires must deploy rapidly and reliably without tangling.
