These machines apply high-tension fiberglass tape to the end turns of wire windings outside the lamination stack, securing them against centrifugal "flare-out" at high-speed RPMs. After banding, the armatures can be heat-cured, fusing the tape into a single, protective shield over the windings.

A traversing carriage on the machine bed ensures precise tape placement and consistent layering across the windings.
