1000 Extra Large Capacity, Very High Torque Coil Winding Machine

Description

The Broomfield 1000 winder is a two speed machine that can handle large, heavy coils and can provide very high winding torque. With one low speed for slower, very high torque needs, and one higher speed for faster, high torque needs, this winder can be manufactured with various speeds and torques according to your application requirements.

Features:

Motor Equipment: 15 hp (11.19 kW) - 75 hp (55.95 kW) AC motor with foot controlled, variable speed vector drive.

Faceplate: 22" (558.8 mm) diameter.

Primary Reduction: Belt and pulley to gear reducer.

Secondary Reduction: Two speed gearbox; ratio between gear ranges is 7:1.

Spindle Speeds: Per application.

Maximum Torque: 17,000 ft.-lbs. (23,052 Nm)

Power Requirement: Electrical: Various horsepower's and three phase voltages available, depending upon application.
Air: 80 PSI (5.5 Bars) at minimal CFM.

Spindle Rotation: Either direction can be selected by a switch on the control panel.

Spindle Center Height: 49.5" (1257.3 mm) from the floor.

Brake: Air actuated disc brake on the spindle motor and air/oil hydraulic disc brake on the faceplate operated by removing foot from variable speed control, by total turns counter or by emergency stop button.

Tailstock: Mounted on precision ways to allow positioning anywhere along winding axis. 4" (101.6 mm) quill travel. Heavy duty frame and quill. 60° live center with No. 5 or No. 6 morse taper.

1000B and 1000C: 65" (1651 mm)

Maximum Swing Diameter:
1000A: 98" (2489.2 mm)
1000B & 1000C: 74" (1879.6 mm)

Machine Control:
A & B Models: Programmable Electronic Counter.
C Model: S-50 winding controller with 50 programmable stops, 7 program capacity, parallel and spiral layering and end stops to define winding width.
